A Note About Peer-Review Correspondence
One service that I provide that is very popular is editing letters to editors and peer reviewers. When you receive the opportunity to revise and resubmit a manuscript, you will quickly see that writing your response letters can be quite tricky. Sometimes just one wrong word can give an argumentative or unexpected tone and cause a negative impression by the reviewers. I help my clients fine tune the wording of these documents to avoid any problems in the review process.
Editorial Styles
I edit most frequently in APA, Chicago, and MLA style. I am able to accomodate other styles per the author's request.
Editorial Process
I work electronically, using the Track Changes and Comments features in Microsoft Word (and you can work in OpenOffice or certain other word-processing programs that are compatible). If you are new to tracked changes and comments, I have a miniguide up on my academic-writing website, as well as a detailed video walkthrough of how I work and how you can work most effectively with me.
After I send you back the marked-up document, you will have the opportunity to make revisions and ask me any questions that you might have about sentences that still need work. I will help you revise those areas further at no additional charge.
Dissertation Formatting and Editing
If you are working on a dissertation or thesis, I recommend that you visit my dissertation-formatting site.
Document Formatting
I am a skilled formatter and can help you format ebooks and other final manuscripts as needed.
